Microsoft has announced plans to release an Xbox 360 Bundle for $99. To get the subsidized price you must sign up for Xbox Live Gold at $14.99/month. You get an Xbox 360 4GB console with Kinect. You can think of it like a cell phone model for Gaming Consoles.
But instead of supposed "unlimited" data (I think only Sprint still offers that now) you are stuck paying $14.99 per month for 2 years. That's $359 over two years for the Xbox Live Gold Service PLUS the cost of the console, $99, for a total of $458. It's not a bad deal if you were going to buy Xbox Live for 2 years anyway. You can get the same thing from Wal-Mart for $299 (Kinect Bundle). So if you get the package you're paying an additional $157 dollars.
After all the RROD people have experienced special pricing might not be a bad idea, but ideally it should be FREE. What are your thoughts? Going to buy it?
